Domestic stock exchanges debuted session with rapid growth. Major index open with green mark. The softening of tension between China and the United States gave relief to the markets. The market is awaiting the results of the Lok Sabha elections to be held on 23rd May.
The trend of other Asian markets was mixed. Japan's other MSCI's Asia Pacific index gained up to 0.3 percent. China's markets have seen strong boom. Shanghai composite jumped 3.1 percent.
At 9.30 am, the BSE Sensex was trading 98 points or 0.26 percent higher at 37,657 level. On the other hand, the Nifty 50 index was also up 24 points or 0.21 per cent to record at 11,326.
Selling in US stock exchanges was dominated on Thursday. The innings jumps up to 0.54 percent. While the S & P 500 index decreased by 0.30 per cent. Nasdaq composites ended the session with a dive of 0.41%.
On the BSE Sensex, Yes Bank's shares rose by 1.64 per cent to Rs 173.10. The share of Reliance Industries rose 1.26 percent to Rs 385.85. The shares of ICICI Bank, Vedanta and Tata Steel rose 1.15 per cent, 1.10 per cent and 1.05 per cent respectively.
On the other hand, shares of HCL Technologies slipped 3.81% to Rs 1,092.05. The shares of Asian Paints fell 1.83 percent to Rs 1,331. Stocks of Coal India, Hindustan Unilever and Kotak Mahindra Bank fell 0.47 per cent, 0.37 per cent and 0.27 per cent, respectively.
